Our first steps along the Northumberland Coastal Path: from Cresswell to Amble where we enjoyed the sights, sounds & skies of this beautiful coastal journey.
Is it all it's cracked up to be? How does it compare to the other classics?
Setting off from Newbiggin in heavy rain and a stiff breeze, we followed this sedate 62 mile path to the Scottish borders starting in a quiet seaside village of Cresswell with the weather getting better as the days went by
Sometimes along the beach to feel the wind on our faces, sometimes along the dunes, with stops here & there to explore local history & landmarks old and new
This wonderful first taste of this amazing coast made us want to see more and more!
