Kabah is an ancient Maya city located in the Puuc heartland in the south of the state of Yucatán in Mexico. It sits on the famed Puuc route between Uxmal and Sayil. The city was founded around 600 BCE, and reached its peak about 1000 years later, between 600 and 800 CE. This site has very typical architecture og the Puuc region, and is most famous for its temple of the masks. The site is quite large, and includes a very large pyramid, but when I visited most of this was closed to the public. They were restoring some buildings which I think will be open to the public soon.
If you would like to see more from this region, check out my video on Sayil. There will be one about Uxmal coming out in the future.
