Summary Of Video
Since this lesson 025, the videos are for intermediate saxophonist.
And it is the first video to explain how to practice Bebop phrasing! It explains I major of II-V-I, today.
Musicians in the middle of 20th century were conscious of triads to develop solo phrasings. 4 triads, such as C major, E minor, G major, and A minor work well to paly over C major 7.
And roughly to say, there were 2 things that horn players did in the era.
1 Implying the chords or functions of the chords by single note lines.
2 Creating interesting rhythm by zigzag of the lines.
The video demonstrates development of Bebop phrase step by step from the plain triads.
The way to practice phrasings on sax is simple. You can go through the practice each stage of development for several times.
