Finger Independence starting on 1st

This finger independence exercise I learned from Stefan Popov during a summer study in London. It utilizes all four fingers and combinations thereof. For this one we will do all of the combinations starting with first finger. Focus your awareness on the following:
Going from a lower finger to a higher finger, the plopping down/hammering motion of the playing finger exactly with the fingers below it.
When going from a higher finger to a lower finger, the lifting/plucking circular motion of the playing finger with the fingers below it.
