E-KYC deadline extended by two more months.
Supply Minister Krushnachandra Patra announced the update.
The ration card E-KYC period was supposed to end today.
Over 13 lakh beneficiaries have not completed E-KYC yet.
The deadline has been extended multiple times before.
Ganjam district has the highest number of pending beneficiaries, while Deogarh has the lowest.
From the New Year, the state government will provide ration cards to 15 lakh new beneficiaries.
Out of 15.33 lakh applications received, 6.39 lakh cards have already been distributed.
The Chief Minister has approved another 15 lakh cards, as informed by the Supply Minister.
Meanwhile, the government has canceled over 8 lakh ineligible ration cards belonging to government employees, deceased persons, and taxpayers.
