Revell 1/25 ’37 Ford Pickup
This video mainly focuses on my own rust painting method.
I made a video of rust painting for each of the five parts of the car.
It starts around 3:12.
Rust painting is based on the rust of the actual vehicle.
The paint is scratched, the iron plate oxidizes, it starts to rust, the paint cracks due to rust, the rust peels off the paint, and the rust covers the whole
I am painting with that in mind.
The key to rust painting is the order in which the colors are applied and how to remove the paint.

1. Color
The color used for rust is a burnt color.
Burnt orange, burnt amber, etc.
In the model, the colors are painted using last brown, last yellow, last orange, last red, stain brown, grand brown, sand type, and red.

2. Paint
lacquer
enamel
Creos, Tamiya weathering color
Acrylic (Liquitex, Turner, etc.) Acrylic paints for models are not used.
Even with acrylic, the gouache will be completely matte.

3. Diluting liquid
We use a diluting liquid suitable for each paint, but enamel and weathering colors are wiped off with a cotton swab soaked in water.
There may be unexpected effects.

4. Procedure
*Base color is reddish brown (oxide red, etc.)
*White
*Body color
*Paint peeling, *scribing
*weathering
*Rust paint
*Fading of body color
*Matt clear if necessary

5. If it fails
Half of the rust paint is intended and the other half is a coincidence effect.
If that doesn't work, it's faster to peel it off in a file and start from scratch.

今回の動画は私なりの錆塗装の方法をメインにしました。
車の五つの部分ごとに錆塗装の動画を作りました。
3:12あたりから始まります。

錆塗装は実車の錆を参考にしています。
塗装に傷がつく、鉄板が酸化する、錆び始める、錆で塗装がヒビ割れる、錆が塗装を剥がし、錆が全体を覆う
っていうことを意識して塗装をしています。
コツは、錆塗装は基本重ね塗りなので、色を載せる順番と、いかに塗装をうまく剥がすかです。

1.色
錆で使う色はバーント系の色を使います。
バーントオレンジ、バーントアンバー等です。
模型ではラストブラウン、ラストイエロー、ラストオレンジ、ラストレッド、ステインブラウン、グランドブラウン、サンド系、赤を使って色を塗ります。

2.塗料
ラッカー
エナメル
クレオス、タミヤのウエザリングカラー
アクリル（リキテックス・ターナー等）模型用のアクリル絵の具は使いません。
アクリルでもガッシュは完全艶消しになります。

3.薄め液
それぞれの塗料にあった薄め液を使いますが、エナメルやウエザリングカラーは水を含ませた綿棒で拭き取ったりしています。
予期せぬ効果がある時があります。

4.手順
下地色は赤茶色（オキサイドレッド等）
白
ボディー色
塗装の剥がし、けがき
ウエザリング
錆塗装を行う
ボディ色の褪色表現もしくは紫外線焼け
必要に応じて艶消しクリア

5.失敗したら
錆塗装は半分意図して、残り半分が偶然の効果です。
うまくいかない時は、ヤスリで剥がして最初からやった方が早いです。

次はイタリアの小粒な車を作ります！
