We love hummus at our house! Not only does it make eating raw vegetables more exciting (and delicious), but it’s packed with protein, fiber and other healthy nutrients to keep us going strong all day. Here’s a really good (and easy-to-make) recipe to try!
Hummus
(Adapted from Alton Brown’s Hummus for Real recipe)
1 can chickpeas (about 2 cups)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
5 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup water or chickpea juice (aquafaba)
1/3 cup tahini
1/4 cup olive oil
Place all of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. Serve with raw vegetables, pita chips or crackers.
