From Idea to Ocean – The Making of Ocean Rider
In this documentary-style film, we follow the journey of Ocean Rider, an 11.5m plate aluminium RHIB purpose-built for whale watching and coastal adventure out of Port Macquarie, NSW.
What started as a concept in the head of Anthony from Port Jet Cruise Adventures quickly turned into a collaboration between CNC Marine (design), Grove Marine (fabrication), and Sternfirst (collars). Together, the team brought this high-performance 1C-survey certified vessel to life—with seating for 24 passengers, tripple Mercury V10s, and a custom tube system developed in-house by Mitch and the Sternfirst team.
With sea trials hitting 49 knots and unmatched ride stability, Ocean Rider is more than a commercial tour boat—it's a purpose-built platform for wildlife experiences, coastal exploration, and tourism done right.
