Menstruation and menopause affect half of the working population, yet conversations around them remain rare in many workplaces. This webinar brought together HR and people leaders to explore why this silence matters, how symptoms can influence day-to-day performance, wellbeing and retention, and why supportive cultures are no longer a “nice to have” but a core part of modern people strategy.
During this webinar, participants explored how to:
• Build a clear business case for supporting menstruation and menopause at work
• Create psychologically safe spaces for open, stigma-free conversations
• Strengthen manager capability so they can respond with empathy and practical support
• Develop policies, adjustments and communication approaches that actually work
• Support employees through symptoms that affect concentration, mood, stress and confidence
This wasn’t a surface-level discussion. It was a grounded, practical conversation meant for HR teams, leaders and colleagues who want to redesign the workplace into one where people feel understood—not overlooked—during key phases of their lives.
The webinar was led by Ali Grady (Chartered FCIPD), Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor, Certified Menopause Wellbeing Practitioner and accredited coach.
