Exploring human-machine co-creativity, this piano improvisation with Somax2 (Max/MSP) reinterprets the mathematical composition “Metastaseis” by Greek-French avant-garde composer Iannis Xenakis. Somax2 player controls the audio corpora of Xenakis.
The performance is split in two movements: Πλάνη (Delusion) - a short, explosive rupture, followed by Ύβρις (Hubris) - a longer ballade, incorporating additional Somax2 players for Ligeti, and Joelle.
