This video series is #IKEA #SEKTION kitchen #DIYable makeover project. In this episode, we tackle demolition, focusing on carefully uninstalling old kitchen cabinets to keep them intact for donation to charity. Starting with the upper cabinets, screws connecting adjacent units and wall studs are removed systematically, while silicone caulking, often stronger than expected, is carefully cut using a razor utility blade. Each cabinet is detached without damage, even in tricky situations requiring troubleshooting.
The process continues with base cabinets and granite countertops. A dead blow hammer is a recommended tool for loosening the granite if preservation isn’t a concern. With the countertops off, the base cabinets are removed intact, ensuring they remain in good condition for donation.
