Elk Mountain to King's Mountain Loop is a popular 10.7 mile trail that is rated as difficult. There are some parts of the trail that are not very well maintained, though passable. Trekking poles and good hiking shoes with pronounced tread are recommended as there are some very steep sections with little traction.
Hike this trail for a good challenge, though there is little pay off as far as the views go. Elk Mountain has the best views at the top with the rolling mountains of the Oregon Coastal Range. The view from King's Mountain is quite similar only with more clear cut in some directions. Happy adventures!
