RATING: PG-13/12A - FOR: Disturbing/Frightening Imagery, Thematic Material, Intense Action Sequences, and Some Language

SYNOPSIS: Ever since Montague’s defeat, Tobias the Hybrid Tram Engine has been feeling very confident about himself. More and more diesels are working on the island, and he even has a branch line of his own. However, not all engines strictly agree with Toby and his willingness to accept diesels, and Henrietta faces her own troubles of trust and acceptance.

Then, a wrench is thrown into Toby’s life when Oliver returns. Most of the engines abhor his presence on Sodor. Even Henrietta has doubts, but Toby takes it upon himself to give him a second chance. However, Oliver’s dark past and his plans are slowly brought to light, and everything that defines Toby for who he is is thrown into question with the re-emergence of Oliver’s oldest ally.

Now, Sodor is falling apart at the seams, and Toby’s very life is on the line. And it will take all of his strength to reclaim his soul from the Arcane Merchant.

Well, howdy there folks, and a Merry Christmas to you all!

Here's my present; that is to say,

"TOBIAS AND THE ARCANE MERCHANT" IS OFFICIALLY IN PRODUCTION.

That's right, folks! I finally got a new computer strong enough to do what I need for this film, and let me tell you all, it is GLORIOUS. I've never had a computer so insanely strong before, and even with Trainz 19 on its higest settings, I'm averaging around 80-100fps. This computer is a MONSTER, and I absolutely love it.

But other than that, I finally get to make this silly little film, 6 years after the original! Let's see how long it takes for this one to come out from the first teaser! (Okay, but like, don't actually, though, I will cry.)

Right now, I have about 9 scenes out of 100 filmed, so I've gotten a decent chunk of it finished in the last month or so. What I'm doing is filming easier, dialogue driven scenes that are simple to set up and execute, get them knocked out first while I wait for some custom Trainz assets I commissioned to be made. It's working well so far; I haven't felt this productive in literal ages. It feels really, really good to be back behind the Trainz wheel (regulator, if you will) and just make some movies, even these crazy, edgy, over-the-top drama-fest films like TATHP and now TATAM.
It's been quite a journey for me over the last 6 years, from when the first film was uploaded on my move in day during my freshman year of college, to now when I got the computer. But I wanna thank each and every one of you who has stuck around through so much waiting (and so much gosh darned music!) for me to get to this point. It means a lot that my crazy, edgy films mean so much to some people, that they can be formative pieces of work for kids growing up the same way Thomas fan content was for me when I was a young kid.

This is all to say in so many words: Thank you.

Welp! Got this finished for today; gonna be taking a break from filming for a little bit for Christmas and New Years, but once we're into the new year, you can bet I'm gonna get right back to it! As much as I can possibly do, with what all I have available to me, I will make it happen.
