New Watercolour Background - Changing the Kingfisher's Story!

I decided to change the feel and story of this watercolour painting giving the Sacred Kingfisher a new ambience and share the process with you. There's nothing to lose through experimenting, but so much to gain! A new watercolour background changes the entire feel of the painting. I hope you enjoy it!


👉I've been drawing and painting nature inspired subjects for over 40 years in various mediums starting with oils, acrylics, charcoal, pastel, and in latter years, watercolour. Birds have interested me in the last 25 years and I have learned many ways of depicting them. I'm a huge fan of John Muir Laws and own his book "The Laws Guide to Drawing Birds". He is brilliant and constantly evolving and finding new ways of approaching these fascinating feathered creatures.
