Paint trees Fast and Loose in watercolor — use exuberant colors and quick brushstrokes to create vivid trees to add to your sketchbook and journal pages.
Learn how to use pen during and after painting to enhance and add detail.
Materials:
Arches 90# cold press watercolor paper 5.5” by 7.5” (a full 22x30 sheet will tear down into 16 sheets of this size)
Winsor Newton Tube watercolors: Quinacridone Gold, Magenta (either Permanent Magenta or Quinacridone Magenta), and Phthalo Turquoise
Round brush, size 8
Flat brush, 1/2 “
Pilot V-ball extra fine pen in black
Uni-ball Deluxe micro pen in black
The sketchbook at the end is Canson 5.5 x 8.5 Mixed Media (the newer version of Canson mixed media has a smoother paper, so I now prefer their cold press watercolor paper sketchbooks).
