Hiroshima, the fall of Japan

This is the “other” Second World War. That of the Pacific which pits a fanaticized imperial army against Americans confident in their power. A lesser known war, but just as bloody and crucial for collective memory as the one that ravaged Europe. From 1941 to 1945, 3 million Japanese civilians and soldiers and more than 100,000 American soldiers died.
