This is a great game for family and friends and it doesn't have to be just for Christmas... Obtain a small gift of any kind (we used a gift card) and place in a small box. Wrap the box in a lot of duct tape in alternating directions so that it is not easily unwrapped. Place that box in another and wrap again. You may use as many boxes as you wish but it should include at least 4. Wrap the last box as a normal gift.
Get a funny hat to wear and some dice. We went with the seasonal reindeer antlers with bells.
The first to roll doubles puts on the funny hat and gets the gift to begin unwrapping. Meanwhile, everyone else pass the dice around the table hoping to be the next to roll a double. When that happens, the person unwrapping has to stop where they are and pass the funny hat and the package to the one who rolled the double. That person has to wear the funny hat while unwrapping. I have never really figured why the funny hat but I never really figured why not.
