A real adventure at mainland Antarctica: from Schirmacher Oasis flying to the emperor penguins in a Twin Otter plane. We headed north over the ice shelf to the edge of the ice to the so-called Lazarev penguins. A very large colony that was now spread across the area in spring. Lots of young animals and larger chicks. I was also able to capture the feeding of the adults. As we walked back to the Twin Otter, we were accompanied by many curious adults. An unforgettable experience. Let us take you to another world on our beautiful planet.

Ein echtes Abenteuer: Mit einer Twin Otter zu den Kaiserpinguinen fliegen. Wir flogen nach Norden über das Schelfeis bis zum Eisrand zu den sogenannten Lazarev-Pinguinen. Eine sehr große Kolonie, die sich jetzt im Frühjahr über das Gebiet verteilte. Viele Jungtiere und größere Küken. Ich konnte auch die Fütterung der Erwachsenen einfangen. Als wir zum Flugzeug zurückgingen, wurden wir von vielen neugierigen Erwachsenen begleitet. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Una auténtica aventura: volar hasta los pingüinos emperador en un avión Twin Otter. Nos dirigimos hacia el norte, sobre la plataforma de hielo, hasta el borde del hielo, hacia los llamados pingüinos de Lazarev. Una colonia muy grande que se extendía por toda la zona en primavera. Muchos animales jóvenes y polluelos más grandes. También pude captar la alimentación de los adultos. Mientras caminábamos de vuelta a la Twin Otter, nos acompañaban muchos adultos curiosos.
