Anxious attachment is a very common attachment style or type that affects many people. This attachment style may affect us in our intimate relationships, friendships, with family members, or with people like our therapist. For many people anxious attachment stems from their childhood, whether it be from trauma, abandonment, or other issues that make us feel more fragile in our relationships. Many people often get anxious attachment confused with codependency and may think they're a codependent, and the truth is there are many similarities between the two. But there are anxious attachment signs that we can look for to begin our healing process.
