Playing with the Roland S-1 to create a beautifully lush sine wave based ambient bell tone using nothing but the self-oscillating resonant filter and built-in effects. The S-1 does not have a sine wave oscillator, but the resonating low-pass filter will generate a sine wave when resonance is turned all the way up. This sine wave tone has a soft, warm quality that isn't very bell-like until you add delay, reverb and chorus using the built-in effects.
