AMERICAN BEAUTY is a 3D "mock-up" promotional animation I created. Inspired by the toughness and durability of the Robust "American Beauty" Lathe. Although I don't own one of these, nor can I afford one of these...they are in my opinion top on my list. This entire piece was created by me in my spare time over the course of a couple months. I built an exact replica of the lathe completely in 3D by using only images and schematic drawings I found on the Robust website as reference. I created this animation simply because I love wood-turning. I have been animating for 20 years and own an animation studio located in Exton, PA called 3 Dart, llc ...so why not? Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
