陶藝基礎創作指導
陶藝涉及大量應用技巧、知識、步驟，對許多初學者而言，除了重複練習及實驗外，觀摩亦是一種必要的學習途徑。本計劃以造型及彩繪裝飾兩項源流中梳理出陶藝製作中的主要技巧，並由藝術家負責示範和拍攝成多條陶藝「陶藝創作指導」影片。藝術家嘗試作出深入淺出的技巧示範，並配以文字補充。

Ceramics practice involves numerous techniques, knowledge and procedures. Apart from practising and experimenting, observation is another essential way of learning for beginners. Consequently, The Workshop Guide to Ceramics will provide demonstration videos for illustrating the forming techniques and surface decoration, which will elucidate the comprehensive skills for making ceramics.

1. 工具/材料：攪拌機、篩子、黏土、水玻璃 (矽酸鈉)
2. 方法1:乾泥製成泥漿。
3. 使用膠錘將乾泥敲碎成小塊。
4. 或者用水覆蓋粘土，讓混合物在一兩天內分解。
5. 方法2 ：用買回來的黏土製成泥漿。
6. 注意：因泥的含水量較多，不要一次放太多水。
7. 將水加進攪拌機，再續少加進小泥塊攪拌。
8. 加進少量水玻璃。
9. 水玻璃用作泥漿中的解凝劑，有助於降低黏度以液化黏土。
10. 將泥漿過篩。
11. 在下一次使用前可過篩一次。
12. 如果使用砂質黏土可以跳過過篩程序。

1. Tools/Materials: Blender, Sieves, Plastic clay, Sodium Silicate
2. Method 1: slaking down
3. Use a rubber hammer to break the dried clay into small lumps.
4. Or cover the clay with water and allow the mixture to break down over one or two days.
5. Method 2: Use the plastic clay from supplier.
6. Attention: Don’t put too much water in one step as the moisture content of plastic clay is high.
7. Pour water into the blender and add the clay in gradual to blend it.
8. Add a bit sodium silicate.
9. Sodium silicate is used as a deflocculant in casting slips which helps reducing viscosity to liquidize the clay body.
10. Push the slip through a sieve for smoothing.
11. Can be sieved once before the next use.
12. Can skip this step if use sandy clay.
