Approaching the Firmament [Touhou-Inspired Original]

ah, there we go, some good ol' fashioned originals! this one was pretty fun to make, actually. This is my attempt at a Touhou-style-ish stage theme!

The main inspirations were Retribution for the Eternal Night, for that fast-paced, chase kinda vibe- and Scarlet Weather Rhapsody's OST, which i just kept in mind as I wrote the melodies. Actually, I snuck in a lot of Touhou references into this song, some are probably more obvious than others though.

The actual song, however, has been on my mind for months! Well, just the name. I actually have plans for a touhou-style album, and this would be, as you can probably guess, stage 4! The idea of 'approaching the firmament' just seems so cool to me, so that's why I went for it. I have a whole bunch of other Heaven-themed song concepts and characters, so that'll probably fill the album once I feel like committing to it.

I'm pretty proud of it composition-wise, but the mixing... Idk, actually? I genuinely can't tell good or okay from bad when it comes to my music's mix, so I just assume I have to work on it. ( also I was 🤏this close to putting in organs but i need to lay off them for a bit im addicted) I tried really hard to add another section, like a bridge of sorts, to the song, but i just couldnt figure it out without ruining the established vibes, so I just stuck with what was there.
