I show how to machine the steam ports to get a crisp steam beat. I show marking techniques that are far more accurate than rulers etc. I show two methods of setting up a vice. I show how to use stop gauges to machine perfect steam port pockets (no horrible steps). I show how to hold the cylinder and piston assembly and methods for machining perfect piston fits, and when to test the fit in the manufacturing process. I show how to check the piston and cylinder fit, and describe how the fit should feel. The exhaust ports and drain cocks are then machined after the piston fit is checked.
