Train Roars Down Crowded City Street With DPUs, Boxcars & Union Pacific Locomotives! Big CSX Trestle

Union Pacific Railroad freight train with DPU blasts through crowded neighborhood! First, a CSX auto racks unit train hurries across a huge railroad bridge over the Great Miami River. These trains are in Troy, Ohio on ex Baltimore & Ohio Railroad tracks that still use B&O signals. We also see a covered bridge that is still in use in Troy Ohio across the road from a grain spur. Troy, Ohio is an excellent place to watch trains. There are probably at least a dozen a day. That was cool to see Union Pacific locomotives leading a train on CSX and have a mid train Union Pacific DPU. That train was nothing but boxcars from the leading locomotives all the way to the DPU. How often do you see a solid string of boxcars like that? Scanners really come in handy here for tracking the trains. I just use the cheapo Baofeng UV6R radios since they work great and are very cheap. Trains use 160.230 to call out the signals and 452.9375 for end of train device. Filmed November 4, 2021.
