One weekend a year, the Greenfield Village opens the park up for private car collectors to bring their vintage 1900-1930s antique automobiles to the village. Manufacturers from Ford to Chevy to Packard can be found running throughout the entire park. Some drivers may even give you the opportunity for a ride in their classic antique Model A or Model T. This video captures dozens of classic vehicles as well as both operating trains at Greenfield Village.
The Weiser Railroad has three operating steam locomotives as well as two internal combustion locomotives. Hecla & Torch Lake #3, also known as Torch Lake is the oldest operating steam engine in the country. It was originally built in 1873 by Mason Machine Works as an 0-6-4T. It was donated to the museum in 1969. Also seen in this video is Naval Ammunitions Depot Charleston #1. The GE 50-ton switcher was built in 1942 and is Ex-USN 65-00002. The switcher was acquired in 1993 from Luria Brothers Scrapyard from Ecorse, MI.
