Deer Stalking , Deer Management SCOTLAND Part 1

Join me in this episode as i team up with Jake from ‪@westcapades‬ And we had to the Scottish Highlands to help a local estate and good friend manage the ever growing dear numbers in Scotland.

The deer numbers in the UK and Scotland are growing so much that the government is urging more and more to be shot every year. We team up with a good friend and land owner to give him a hand keeping up with the numbers necessary to stay on top of the population.

With thick snow on the ground, it makes it pretty hard going, especially when it comes to dear recovery. But with the aim for these deer to enter the human food chain, we worked hard to recover every day back to the larder.

I hope in this video I'm able to shine just a little bit of light on dear stalking and dear management in Scotland and how it can benefit us in the long run. Deer is such a valuable and sustainable food resource it's something we need to look after and utilise in the best way possible.
