Is McLaren manipulating the F1 championship? This post-race wrap from the 2025 Italian GP asks exactly that after a slow stop triggered the McLaren position swap between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Norris’ Monza pit stop and the whole McLaren Monza pitstop story caused some discussion after the 2025 Monza Grand Prix about whether the papaya rules are fair for Oscar and Lando, and Oscar Piastri’s Monza radio message showed he initially believed slow stops are a part of racing.
