The museum in downtown Flensburg, at the end of Flensburg bay, is a working classic boat-building location, and authentic working wood historical sailing ship are gathered in this stretch of the harbor, it is a wooden boat lovers paradise.
Flensburg was deeply embedded in the RUM trade - transporting raw rum from the vest-indies to europe, once in Flensburg the raw product was aged and cut. you can still buy sugarcane rum in Flensburg, along with bottles prepared exactly as it was hundreds of years ago.
