The Smart Greenhouse – Solar Smart Plant Care System was created during the Erasmus+ mobility on “Living off the Earth”, held in Rhodes, Greece (28 April – 2 May 2025). The mobility took place at 4th GEL Rodou, Rhodes, Greece, and the project was developed by students from the same school.
The Smart Greenhouse is an innovative automated system that monitors temperature, soil moisture, and light to maintain optimal conditions for plant growth. A servo motor opens or closes the greenhouse window based on environmental conditions, and a water pump waters the plant automatically only when needed, taking into account temperature and light levels to prevent stress. All data is displayed on an LCD screen and can be monitored remotely. The project demonstrates sustainable, sensor-based automation for plant care.
