Welcome to my channel! In today’s video, I’ll show you how to make a trendy baby dress—a cute side double-ruffled tank top paired with stylish double-breasted button shorts. This is an easy and fun project, perfect for your little one. Let’s get started!

[Materials Needed]

1. Soft fabric for the top and shorts (cotton or polyester blend).
2. Matching thread.
3. Buttons for shorts (4-6 buttons).
4. Scissors.
5. Measuring tape.
6. Sewing machine.
7. Pins and chalk for marking.
8. Elastic (optional for waistband).

[Step 1: Cutting the Fabric]

• First, measure your baby’s chest, waist, and length for the top and shorts.
• For the tank top, cut two rectangles for the front and back. For the ruffles, cut two strips (twice the length of the top’s side) to create the double ruffles.
• For the shorts, cut two pieces for the front and back with extra width to create the pleats. Don’t forget to add space for the seam allowance and waistband.

[Step 2: Creating the Tank Top]

• Start by sewing the shoulders and sides of the top.
• To make the ruffles, take the ruffle strips, gather them by sewing a loose stitch along the edge, and pulling the thread to create gathers.
• Pin the ruffles along the side of the top, ensuring they overlap slightly, and stitch them in place.
• Add a small slit and button loop at the back neckline for easy wear.

[Step 3: Stitching the Shorts]

• Sew the front and back pieces together at the sides and crotch.
• To create the double-breasted button detail, fold the front part of the shorts to create pleats on both sides and secure them by stitching.
• Attach the waistband and either add elastic or a button closure.
• Finish by sewing the buttons on the pleats for a stylish look.

[Step 4: Final Touches]

• Hem the edges of the shorts and top to give them a neat finish.
• Press the outfit with an iron for a professional look.
