Welcome to a tale where I explain Sega's original betrayal to Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog fans. When the Mega Drive/Genesis was released, it was Sonic that finally put the system over, driving it toward becoming a culture phenomenon. Year after year, it was hit after hit with Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles (aka Sonic 3 and Knuckles). Also, Sonic Spinball. Then, Sega disappeared. The Sonic Cycle hit and we were left with the scraps of Knuckles Chaotix, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic R. Also talked about in this video is the Sonic Saturday Morning Cartoon (SatAM) and the Sonic comic, particularly with Ken Pender's work.
