The time has come to sell the Balmer beast/Pathylogical. Up for sale is my modified 1990 Nissan Pathfinder which was my first major fabrication project and the very machine that gave rise to my company - Balmer Fabrication. This rig has always been very well maintained and has been stored indoor for the last 7 years. If you like flex you’ll get all you bargained for and more!
$4500 CAD
1990 Nissan Pathfinder 30.L, Auto, Stock TX-10 T-case, power windows.
GOOD:
-Rust free frame (rare for Pathfinders)
-Custom 3-link front suspension with massive DOM links and 2.65” rebuildable creeper joints, Wild Horses dual rate coils, adjustable coil mounts, adjustable DOM track bar, rancho shocks and limiting straps.
-Grand Wagoneer Dana 44 front end with 4:56 Yukon gears, chromoly shafts, Yukon Super joints (comes with special grease gun for lubing them), Warn premium hubs, custom diff guard and full DOM steering. The “C’s” have been cut and turned 21* to correct caster – it's done properly.
-Full DOM steering set-up with Heim joints.
-Modified 4-link rear suspension with Wild Horses dual rate coils and Rancho shocks. This is an extended version of the stock 4-link set-up. The links are 11” longer than stock.
-Stock HB233 rear end with LSD and disk brakes. This is a very stout rear end – I've never had a single issue with it.
-Custom T-Case X-member to allow for front driveshaft articulation.
-Jeep XJ front drive shaft with double cardan.
-37” Interco Boggers on 15”x10” steel rims (some rock damage to the rims – one has an intermittent slow leak thanks to this. The boggers have around 30% tread left but they’ve been grooved and still provide very good traction on rocks – not so much in mud.
-Custom front and rear bumpers with 2” receivers and shackle mount recovery points. The bumpers are basic but very strong and offer unmatched clearance and approach/departure angles.
-Receiver mounted front license plate holder.
-Heavy duty rock sliders (2”x3”x.188” wall main rails) with kick-outs.
-Front exo-cage. The plan was to finish this... now this can be your project.
-Cargo/sleeping deck conversion to the back. The rear seats have been removed and a bulkhead has been welded in to create a flat surface. A plywood deck has been installed from the back of the front sets to the tailgate for storage and camping purposes. There are custom tie down points all along the deck for securing your load. Tinted rear windows for privacy.
-Decent stereo with USB, good quality front speakers and a hidden 8” Bazooka tube.
-Aftermarket trans. cooler
-35” spare tire/rim.
-Removable semi-truck mud flaps.
-Custom steel console with 4 cup holders.
BAD:
The stock 3.0l engine is on it’s way out – the head gasket is going. A junkyard replacement is very cheap but personally, I was going to do an LS swap or something similar.
-Rusty rockers and various other rusty bits
-Needs windshield (badly cracked) and wipers
-Needs sunroof latch
-No carpet (Actually a good thing for wheeling)
-Minor body damage to the passenger quarter and tons of BC pin striping
Comes with spare parts:
5 speed trans, clutch and pedals
T-case
Steering box
Power steering pump
New power steering pump belt
Alternator
New alternator belt
2 radiators
ECU Mass airflow sensor
Distributor cap/rotor/wires - all like new
Exhaust manifolds
Drive shafts
Front doors
Hood
Head lights
Tail lights
Marker lights
Signal lights
Side mirrors
Even includes a recovery strap, come-along and tire plug kit!
