Before the Donald’s Hot Jungle Summer event in 2019, Tokyo Disneyland used to have a special Japanese summer event known as Disney Natsu Matsuri (Disney Summer Festival in English). This event had traditional Japanese decorations, and outfits and I’m had various shows that performed from 2012-2018. One of the last shows to take place during this event was Sansui! Summer Beat. This show would take place along the parade route with a the main show taking place around the central hub/plaza. The show featured 4 massive parade floats equipped with water cannons as well as smaller floats throughout. The show debuted in 2017 and held its final year in 2018 during the 35th anniversary of the park.
Fun Facts:
The floats were originally created for another former show called “Garyo Gunbu”, which ran from 2014-2016.
In 2018, the 35th anniversary theme song “Brand New Day” was mixed into the soundtrack.
