Day 2 in Osaka | Universal Studios Japan | Family Travel

We spent a fun family day at Universal Studios Japan, arriving late morning and taking our time to enjoy the park. From noticing small acts of kindness as soon as we arrived, stopping by the USJ arch and globe for photos, and checking out the Spy Family pop-up, to a funny encounter with Luigi and discovering that Jaws ended up being my favorite ride but Nami's least favorite (she got scared of the big shark). This day was filled with simple, memorable moments. We didn’t get an Express Pass since we’re not big on rides (we binge on food when we visit parks 😅), but seeing the long wait times made us realize it’s definitely worth it for ride lovers. Some rides even made me dizzy enough to cut the video short, but overall it was a relaxed and happy family day.

Travel tips: We were allowed to bring small snacks and bottled water, though security here is stricter than Disneyland. There are photo spots before entering the park, so arrive a little earlier if you want pictures without rushing. If you’re visiting with kids or prefer a slower pace, prioritizing shows, character encounters, and pop-ups can make the day more enjoyable—while those who love rides may want to consider an Express Pass to save time.
