It's not often that Taylor is able to use sinker redwood in guitars outside of their Presentation Series, so this 814ce LTD is an exciting opportunity to try out a new sonic flavor. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides team up with the sinker redwood top for a rich, warm response with cedar-like touch sensitivity and a high volume ceiling. V-Class bracing adds a boost to sustain and power, and the radius-style rosewood armrest takes the edge off the lower bout for a more inviting feel. Details include maple body binding, ebony fretboard binding, a single-ring rosette in abalone, Element inlays in shell and mother-of-pearl, and a 4.5-mil gloss finish. The 814ce LTD ships with ES2 electronics and a deluxe hardshell case.
