The wait for the Stranger Things 5 release date is going to be a long one, but we tend to think that many of you already know this. The hit Netflix show has yet to begin production and won't begin until next year. It won't be until this is over that we can start having more serious conversations about all of this, and even then it might come too soon. There will still, after all, be post-production to do.

It's a common question fans ask after a new season arrives, especially after a show ends on a huge cliffhanger like the one we saw at the end of season 4. After all, it's only natural to want to know how long you'll have to expect. before finally solving the stories and answering burning questions. Stranger Things season 5 will, in fact, be the last season of Stranger Things. Netflix has made it clear that the show will end with its upcoming fifth season, which means there will be five seasons in total for Stranger Things. Although we learned never say never with Netflix after delivering an additional season to Lucifer after previously billing its fifth season as its final season, the Duffer brothers have long announced their plans for Stranger Things to have four or five seasons. The good news is that the Duffers are already planning at least one spin-off that will allow the series to continue in some capacity beyond Season 5.
