Prior to reaching Pasir Gudang, Route 17 runs almost parallel to Route J10, another option to drive to Pasir Gudang. Residential Areas - Plentong, Seri Alam, Rinting, Masai, Kong Kong, Dahlia situated along Route 17.
Pasir Gudang is well known especially for Johor Port, Kites Museum and in general its industries and factories. Visit Jalan Timah, Jalan Besi, Jalan Suasa, etc to see these premises.
Next is the old settlement Kg. Pasir Putih which is surrounded by new settlements such as Tanjung Puteri Resort Residentials.
There is an expressway E22 that links Pasir Gudang, Tanjung Langsat, Desaru to Senai Airport, and from Senai, you can drive further to join other expressways to the North (Kuala Lumpur) or South (Johor Bahru). The junction on E22 is just after the famous River Kim Kim.
Tanjung Langsat is another industrial area located just after the junction on E22. Drive further and at the end of Route 17, there are choices - on the left to visit Tanjung Langsat, on the right to explore Sarang Buaya Pasir Gudang Crocodiles Park. Nice view by the sea from Tanjung Langsat Food Court nearby.
