This is a poem written as a tribute to my uncle John, on the 2 year anniversary of his passing on March 24th....I lost an uncle, friend and brother...but the WORLD lost one of the PREMIER entertainers of the 20th and 21st centuries. I'm not much on poems that rhyme (Too much like The Girl From Nantucket stuff for ME), preferring to write more in the prose vein...but I made an exception in this case. I tried to capture in words the feeling I got from John, when he talked about being on stage, the audience; etc...I hope I did that feeling justice...and so....HERE'S to The Maestro....Johnny, that is....
