This song, written to an Irish Rebel tune Kelly From Killane, tells the story of the fight by the miners at Eureka Stockade. The miners lost the battle but gained much public sympathy which enabled enabled them to win much of the rights they had been fighting for.
Irish man Peter Lalor, the leader, lost an arm in the battle.
