Finally had the privilege again to film one of the loudest cars my ears have ever experienced. Despite being really rather rare with only 7 cars built, every year I've seen one at the Spa Classic (2022, 2024 and 2025), it was a different chassis. In this video I've combined footage from 2024 and 2025 as during both events neither car took part in all the sessions and they just so happened to cover all the angles I usually film, together. Last year, the number 3 car (EV11) raced by David Hart and this year, the number 4 car (EV14) raced by Maxime Guenat. EV11 was originally built in 1990 and EV14 in 1991 but on the entry list they both said 1993 which I imagine has to do with them having been rebuilt into Evo 1 Bis spec for the 1993 season.
Powered by a 3.5L 80 degree (very unusual) V10, producing around 670 horsepower at an incredible 12.500 rpm, the 905 is an absolute screamer. Weighing in at the minimum required 750 kg it was incredibly quick and eventually dominant back in the day. During these amazing classic events I couldn't care less about competitiveness though, I just want to listen to it.
