Last summer I rode more than 2,000 miles through Alaska and the Yukon, camping most nights and relying on a truly minimalist moto camping setup. After living in Alaska for 25 years, this was the ride where I finally refined my ultralight motorcycle camping gear — a practical, no-nonsense kit made from things I already owned or repurposed. No fancy gear, no sponsorships, just a real moto camping kit that works on long-distance northern roads.
