Today I’m back in my happy place working on my Christmas Journal (Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Volume 2). I’m adding ribbon embroidery using 7mm white ribbon with a Portuguese knotted stem stitch — plus dimensional leaves made from felt and fabric, painted with Inktense pencils/blocks for depth and interest.
I finish the leaves with fly stitch, fishbone stitch, buttonhole stitch, and a sprinkle of sequins for holiday sparkle. I hope this inspires you to add texture and coziness to your Christmas projects!
