According to Amazon you will see an average weekly 40% lift in units ordered & 54% lift in views within the first year after launching a Sponsored Products campaign.
To run Sponsored Products ads you just need to have a professional seller account on amazon.
Let’s see how to create one
Name your campaign first:
Choose a campaign name that will help you find your campaign later.
Having a simple naming convention will help you later when you review their performance in Campaign manager.
You can also categorize your campaigns in a certain portfolio if you have too many items.
Set a start and end date:
Choose the date you want your campaign to start running. You can set your campaign to start today, or select a date in the future.
Most advertisers choose "no end date" to avoid their campaigns stopping abruptly.
Choose your targeting strategy:
Automatic targeting
Amazon will target keywords and products that are similar to the product in your ad.

Manual targeting
Choose keywords or products to target shopper searches and set custom bids.
We recommend creating manual targeting campaigns to target your ads to specific keywords, products, or categories based on your business goals.
Set your daily budget:
The daily budget is the amount you’re willing to spend on your campaign each day.
Consider how much you’re willing to spend on this campaign each day. Think how your daily budget and bids work together to help your campaign run throughout the day. You can come back and change your budget at any time.
Campaign bidding strategy:
Dynamic bids - down only
Amazon will lower your bids in real time when your ad may be less likely to convert to a sale.

Dynamic bids - up and down
Amazon will raise your bids (by a maximum of 100%) in real time when your ad may be more likely to convert to a sale, and lower your bids when less likely to convert to a sale.

Fixed bids
Amazon will use your exact bid and any manual adjustments you set, and won’t change your bids based on likelihood of a sale.
Create an ad group:
An ad group is a group of ads sharing the same set of keywords and products. Consider grouping products that fall within the same category and price point range. You can edit your campaign after launch to create additional ad groups in the campaign manager.
ADD Products
Now add the products you want to promote
You can add single products here
You can add list of your products
You can even upload a csv file to add your products
If you’ve selected Automatic Targeting
It uses keywords and products to help your ads appear in search and detail pages.
You can set default bid, or you can set bids by targeting group like
Close match; Loose match; Substitutes; Complements
You can also do Negative keyword targeting:
Where Negative keywords prevent your ads from displaying when a shopper's search terms match your negative keywords. You can exclude irrelevant searches, reducing your advertising cost.
AND Negative product targeting:
Where Negative product targeting prevents your ads from displaying when a shopper's search matches your negative product selections. This helps exclude irrelevant searches, reducing your advertising cost.
If you’ve selected Manual targeting
You can either target Keyword or Product/ ASIN
The style is almost the same:
For Keyword targeting you have multiple option
You can add keywords from Amazon suggestion
You can enter your list or
You can upload a file of your keyword list
For your first biding you have also multiple option like
Suggested bid
That Uses past bidding activity to predict bids that are more likely to win
Custom bid
You Can customize bids for each keyword
Default bid
That Links multiple keywords to the same bid value
Then the match type :
Suggested bid
Uses past bidding activity to predict bids that are more likely to win
Custom bid
Can customize bids for each keyword
Default bid
Links multiple keywords to the same bid value
You can also target negative keywords here:
Finally you can launch your campaign.
