Why This Car Is Special

In the 1980s, a popular crime drama featured two sharply dressed men as undercover detectives working the drug-ridden streets of Miami. They patrolled the streets in a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder, but it really wasn’t a Ferrari.

Mechanical

Ours is powered by a chromed-out 5.7L V8 Engine out of a Corvette that is fuel injected, has an open element air cleaner system, chrome valve covers, chrome alternator, air conditioning, power steering and brakes, high performance spark plug wire kits, and headers leading to a dual exhaust system.

It is backed by an manual transmission and rides on chrome wire wheels with Ferrari spinner wheel caps and black sidewall tires and ours is believed to be built by the Original Builder of the Cars for the Show, Tom McBurnie. These cars were very accurate replicas and cost over $22K for the conversion and that was over 30 Years ago and only a few were built.

Interior

The fabulous tan interior features twin tan high back Ferrari looking bucket seats with good side bolster and provide easy access to the rear storage area, matching door panels, a Daytona looking gauge package, Ferrari logo wood sport steering wheel, air conditioning, Ferrari looking shifter, tan floor mats, and a stereo radio system.

Exterior

These Ferrari Daytona Replicas were built during the heyday of the Miami Vice television series and ours was built was on a 1978 Corvette with the added Ferrari Daytona body painted in a dark blue with looks great with the dark blue convertible top.

It has Ferrari emblems and badging, dual side mirrors, quad-tip exhaust tips, and looks like the real thing. It is one-of-a-handful ever made that will attract a lot of conversation and attention when you are at the car shows or just driving around. Prepare to answer question from admirers!
