Want to see awesome feats of engineering AND exceptional scenery? Then you'll want to bike this section of the C&O Canal trail. This part of the trail is extremely popular, and we can see why! From the Widewaters area to the Seneca Aqueduct – the only place on the canal you will see an aqueduct and lock as a single structure -- there is plenty to see as you travel the towpath between the Potomac river and the canal. Within the span of a 10 mile one-way ride you can see dozens of canal artifacts. This ride took place on May 23, 2021.
