All the children of God, including Jesus the firstborn child, are begotten of God, begotten from above, begotten of God above, and for that reason they are not of the world but of God. They are from above and not below, they are not of the world just as Jesus was not of the world. And because they are from above and not below, the world does not know them. 1 John 3:1.
