This song was such a pleasure to play. And it was challenging in such a different way than other tunes - it's all about the "behind the beat" groove and the slightly-flattened swing. From a drumming perspective this one is a lot like Now and Then.
"Octopus's Garden" was written by Ringo Starr. And let's give an honorable mention to George Harrison as well. What a gem of a tune, and what a genius move to have this tune, with its silliness and pep, precede Lennon's masterpiece "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" on the album. The contrast is phenomenal; the art of the album is strong with Abbey Road.
