🌞 Midsummer Magic & DIY Sun Wheel & Traditions from Germany🌿

Hallo everyone! In today’s video, I’ll show you how to craft a simple sun wheel for your altar — a radiant symbol of light, life, and the power of the sun at its peak. ✨

As we create together, I’ll share ancient Midsummer traditions from Germany and Northern Europe — from bonfires and burning wheels, to the magical herbs gathered during the summer solstice like St. John’s Wort and yarrow.

You’ll also learn a bit about the history of Johannisnacht, how old pagan customs were woven into Christian celebrations, and how the Summer Solstice — also known as Midsummer or Litha is still honored today — with fire, dancing, and deep reverence for nature’s rhythms.

Craft Materials:
– 3–4 equal sticks + 1 longer stick
– Yarn in sun colors (yellow, gold, orange, red)
– Wooden base, glue, scissors
– Dried herbs, moss, flowers (optional)

This handmade wheel makes a perfect addition to your solstice ritual, altar decoration or seasonal celebration.
