●Active Voice vs Passive Voice
●Basic Rules:
●The object of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive sentence and the subject becomes the object of the passive sentence.
● The verb is changed to its past participle form.
●Use a helping verb according to the subject of the passive sentence.
● The preposition "By" is used after the verb.
● Structure:
●Subj.+H.V+V.3+By+Obj.
●Present Indefinite Tense:
●Example:
●He writes a letter.
(A letter is written by him)
●Present Continuous Tense:
●Example:
●They are speaking English.
(English is being spoken by them)
●Present Perfect Tense:
●Example:
●She has taken tea.
(Tea has been taken by her)
●Past Indefinite Tense:
●Example:
●We bought books.
(Books were bought by us)
●Past Continuous Tense:
●Example:
●I was writing letters.
(Letters were being written by me)
●Past Perfect Tense:
●You had played football.
(Football had been played by you)
●Future Indefinite Tense:
●They will eat apples.
(Apples will be eaten by them)
●Future Perfect Tense:
●He will have sold this property.
(This property will have been sold by him)
